“And we were finally ready to begin the actual regression.  It dawned on me as I lay on the couch in her office, that the preparation was very comprehensive, that she took this work very seriously, and that we were staged for an incredible experience.

As I closed my eyes and began to relax, being fully aware that I was always going to be in charge and feeling confident in my Regression Therapist, I began to enter a light trance state. I could hear her voice as it urged me to engage my imagination – “as imagination and intuition or knowing, are flip sides of the same coin”.  And I began to descend further and further into a very peaceful place – still hearing her voice – still being aware of the other ambient sounds in her office.   Relaxed, safe and open – the best ingredients to my own insights and awareness.

And we began to descend a staircase – a staircase with ten steps.”

“And now, it was time to discuss my questions.  As I would be the individual doing the speaking, there was nothing to hide from the Past Life Regressionist….nothing to worry about sharing that she might feed back to me as with a less-than-credible psychic.  In this situation, the more she understood at a high level about my questions and the reason I was asking them, the better she could frame the questions once we connected with my Spirit Guide.

Without further delay, we were ready to begin the regression.  As I mentioned earlier, her office was very comfortable with a couch, indirect lighting, and soft music playing.  She indicated that it was time to become comfortable and recommended I recline on the sofa, setting pillows appropriately so I would be as relaxed as possible.  She dimmed the lights, leaving a reading light for herself, and we both settled in for an amazing experience.”

“I arrived at the Past Life Regression Guide’s office.  I was amazed to find it in a corporate office building.  It was lovely, well appointed, and quite relaxing.  I don’t know what I had thought I would find – and this was not it.  If she had her office in a corporate type building, was this process I was about to experience a bit more grounded that I had thought?

And the interview began.  The Guide/Therapist began by telling me a bit more about herself.  She took this approach to build rapport and to help me relax and realize I was about to be guided into a very unusual experience by someone who is well grounded, very experienced, and who had, much earlier in her own lifetime, been in my own shoes.

And so, she began gathering information about me to assist her in the process.  This data gathering took about ten minutes due to the time we had spent on the phone earlier.  With each minute I became more comfortable and hopeful.”

“When I came home the next evening, I immediately engaged my TiVo to watch the Oprah show that I had recorded.  And I was fascinated – by the process, by the discussion, and by the one guest who had been personally regressed and the issues he addressed while under regression.  This was amazing stuff and I began to understand why my friend had remained so excited. 

With this further information I completed writing up my questions and began to wonder what scenes would occur when I was regressed….how would I appear?  What “lifetime” might be shown that would relate to my current life?  Suffice it to say I was more than a bit excited about the upcoming meeting with the individual I had now come to know as “My” Past Life Regression Guide and Coach.” 

Note:  In Past Life Regression Therapy scenes of what appear to be a lifetime typically appear.  One can either believe in reincarnation and own these scenes as from one of their own lifetimes; OR, one can simply believe that Spirit teaches us in formats that we understand,  that one of those formats is scenes from a life, and that this is a format each of us can more easily apply to our current lifetime.

“I continued thinking about my questions.  What did I really want to know – and what did I not want to learn.  I was amazed that there were some things that I simply did not want to be made aware of – things about my life that I would just as soon not review in any depth at all.  Would these things come up?  Would they be addressed anyway?  I was beginning to see how this seemingly inconsequential experience might just be life changing for me.

As I was pondering these thoughts, my phone rang.  One of my friends from the tea shop who knew I was contemplating having this experience called to let me know that Oprah was going to have Dr. Brian Weiss on her show the next day…and the subject would be Past Life Regression.  I thanked my friend and immediately set my TiVo to record the session – whatever Oprah with Dr. Weiss had to say would provide more information than I had at this time.”

“It sounded so easy – simply make a list of the questions I have about my life – a notation of the issues I am facing.  Boy was I glad the Past Life Regression Guide had asked me to do this in advance.  For me, this exercise was not as easy as I thought.

I began by noting the various elements of my life that I was simply not pleased with – those things in my life that I would like to change.  The time I was spending thinking about and actually creating the list was bringing some clarity to my life – to why I was not pleased.  This exercise alone was worthwhile for me.  I was getting excited and anxious in direct proportion.  What if I could actually spend two hours and gain some clarity and peace about my life…..what if….”

“After several days of mulling this possibility around and around in my mind, I decided to call my friend and obtain the number of the Past Life Regression Guide/Therapist whom she had seen.  In this call, I had many questions and was more than a bit nervous about what my next step would be.

When I called my friend, I was impressed by the fact that she had not lost any of the enthusiasm for the experience and had, in fact, received a recording of her session.  This allowed her to relive the experience and hear herself bring forth the information.  This was amazingly powerful for my friend and I decided to take the leap of faith.

I placed the call.  The phone was answered by a very lovely sounding lady.  She patiently answered all of my questions.  I felt so comfortable with her that I set an appointment during this first call.  She requested that I begin writing down the questions I would like to have answered – to get plenty of sleep the evening before our session.  The stage was set!”

“I left the tea shop that day with new information and just a bit of my friend’s excitement.  I had been grappling with life decisions and did not seem to be able to find any solutions or really good direction.  I had shared my situation with my friends, and, although they were all very supporting and shared their own experiences and recommendation, I was still in a quandary.

And now, I was wondering if a Past Life Regression might provide me with any information or direction – would my Spirit Guides come in as my friend’s had – would they speak to me of what I needed to hear?  My friend had indicated that her regression guide was most clear about the fact that Spirit always brings what we most need – not necessarily what we most want.  So, what would my Spirit Guide (who or whatever that might be) provide to me?  Would this process help me?”

“The scene opens in a tea shop where a number of friends often meet and have a cup of tea.  This is the modern day “watering hole” at which a wide variety of topics and experiences are shared.  In this meeting, one of the tea ladies is sharing her Past Life Regression experience.  She is an individual interested in holistic forms of healing and connection and had happened upon a book written by the pioneer in this field, Dr. Michael Newton. 

As I sat there listening to her story I was entranced by the experience she shared and the information she had received.  It truly seemed too good to be true and yet, this was a person I had known for quite some time and found to be grounded and who did not tend to exaggerate any more than the rest of us.”

Note: Most often I receive calls from individuals interested in a Past Life Regression either because they have read the books produced by Dr. Michael Newton or because the individual was having coffee or tea with a friend and heard about that individuals amazing experience. In both cases, the coincidences of life open the door to a wonderment that can only be described through experience as each of us are uniquely different.

It is quite unusual if I do not receive many questions from individuals interested in experiencing a Past Life Regression.  It is for this reason that I offer a thirty minute complimentary introduction session to Past Life Regression.  And, it is for this reason, that I thought it beneficial to walk you through the steps in a Past Life Regression. 

The following posts to the Spirit Intuitive blog represent the Past Life Regression process and are written in story format.  None of the information is specific to any client and the Past Life Regression scenes that are shared in the “story” are from my own personal experience.  A Past Life Regression is a very personal experience and, due to this, confidentiality is of paramount importance.  It is for this reason that I begin with these opening comments.
