“I arrived at the Stone Shop and found the proprietor in a most delightful mood.  She had been on the phone with her colorful group of friends and had some information for me in regards to the impact of more or less stone on a situation. 

As I waited for her to share the information she had gathered, I noted the gleam in her eye.  Not understanding why she was looking so mischievous, I asked her what she had found out.

She looked at me and said:  “Why don’t you be your own experiment (hadn’t I just decided that?).  Why don’t you take several pieces of the stone that continues to attract you – wearing one piece for several days and then two pieces, continually increasing the number of pieces in increments of three to four days and see what occurred?”

Hmmm, this was definitely enticing – be my own experiment with not only the subtle energy of a stone I had not researched – and also experiment with more or less of the stone in my presence.  I agreed immediately.”

“Because I was really excited to find out more about how the subtle energies truly functioned in our lives – what the motivators and detractors to their impact were – I headed straight to the Stone Shop to see what I could find out.  The proprietor was so knowledgeable and willing to help I had no concern of finding out the answers we were seeking.

Also, I continued to be intrigued by the stone known as Chrysophase as it had drawn me in the last time I was in the shop.  I wanted to find out more and determine how it could impact my life.  I had not yet researched this particular stone, having decided to be my own experiment.

Off I went to the Stone Shop – a location quickly becoming one of my favorite haunts.”

“As a refresher, Heather’s question was why did the subtle energy of Amazonite only seem to impact the family area of her life and not the career area….why did the subtle energy only seem to focus on that area?

So, with a refresher of the teas we were each drinking and another scone to share amongst us, we set about discussing this most intriguing issue.

As we began our discussion, we realized we were not certain exactly how the subtle energies of the stones really worked….how did they impact our lives or not…and if they impacted some areas and not all, why did they choose certain areas? 

We realized there were many more questions than we had considered initially and decided this would take some research and learning on my part as the engineer of this grand experiment.

With this in mind, we agreed to meet in two weeks at the Tea Shop.  We each had our own unique assignment and responsibility.  This follow-up meeting agreed upon, we finished our tea and left the shop – delighted and more than a bit puzzled over our findings – or lack thereof.”

“With no definitive information, Margaret checked her watch and determined that she really did have to leave.  She thanked me for including her in this wonderful experiment of mine and asked for the address of the Stone Shop as she was going to seek out more Hematite jewelry as well as see what other stones most attracted her.

This possibility created a great deal of friendly banter as we each shared what the other needed in their lives – as only friends can – and concluded that is we each engaged with all of the healing subtle stone energies we needed in our lives we would be weighed down by necklace upon necklace. 

With laughter and a wave good-bye, Margaret left us at our tea table with Heather’s question still hanging in the air.”

“With Margaret’s question in mind, I quickly dialed the Stone Shop (why wait until I am in next when Margaret would like the information now?).  The owner of the Stone Shop answered my phone call on the second ring.

I shared with her Margaret’s question.  Specifically:  “If we were to have more of a particular stone would it create greater shift in our lives?  Would the impact be greater?”

The owner of the Stone Shop paused for a moment as she thought about the question.  She shared that it would make sense that the more of the stone’s subtle energy we had in our proximity the greater the stone’s potential impact upon our lives.  And, saying that, she told us she had never heard that to be the case – that a larger stone was better than a smaller stone.  With this in mind, she indicated she would call some of her friends to find their insights and opinion.

I thanked her and we concluded the call.”

“With this information shared, I asked Margaret how, if at all, her life had been different over the past three weeks. 

In a nut shell, little had changed and much had changed.  Margaret did not see her actions or thinking as different and yet, as she thought about the subtle energies of Hematite, the Stone of the Mind, she began to wonder if its subtle energy had assisted her in some decisions she had made.

As I said earlier, Margaret is one of those wonderful people who always sees the greater good and, in the seeing, often forfeits her own near term needs.  As she began to share her past three weeks with us, she pointed out two or three times that she had found a way to create the greater good without giving up her own needs. 

And, although she would like the balance to be better, she was delighted with the shift that had occurred.  In fact, she wondered if the shifts would be greater if she wore more Hematite stones?  A good question and one that I told her I would take to the Stone Shop to see what I could find out.”

“As we began to ponder the impact of Amazonite on Heather’s experiences during this time, Margaret reminded us that she needed to leave soon.  So we shifted quickly over to what had been going on in Margaret’s life.

Margaret is a truly wonderful and well balanced individual.  She is highly intuitive and thoughtful due to her intuitive knowing – sometimes overly thoughtful which puts her own needs in the background of her life.

I had asked Margaret to wear the Hematite medallion due to the fact that Hematite is known as the Stone of the Mind.  As such, its subtle energies assist one in sorting things out through the mental process.  This sorting out which is assisted by Hematite supports mental attunement to the higher energies and our own memory enhancement.”

“With my friends having just expserienced the impact the subtle energy of Tigers Eye on Amber and her life, it was easy to proceed to assist Heather in understanding how the Amazonite medallion may have had impact on Heather’s holiday experience.

Specifically, I shared with the group (Heather had already researched the subtle energies of Amazonite so she was well versed) the subtle energy of Amazonite.  Amazonite is the stone of communication and as such, it correlates rational thought with intuition – or, said more clearly, it assists us in understanding the larger picture of each scenario we approach with our typical rational perception.  As such, the subtle energy of Amazonite assists us in balancing our thinking and perceptions allowing us to see both sides of any situation.

As Heather listened, she began to see how the subtle energy of Amazonite may well have assisted her in the interactions with her family and friends during the holidays.

At the same time, she wondered why the subtle energy of Amazonite had not assisted her in her work challenges – a very good question.”

“With a very subtle smile on my face, I asked Heather if she thought the Amazonite medallion had impacted her life at all.  Predictably, she indicated that she had not seen any impact in her career – that she still was very reluctant to leave her cubicle and interact with the individuals her boss has coached her to interact with….

And then I asked her about her holidays and what she had just told us about how well it had gone.  I asked her is there was anything else in her family dynamics that would have accounted for how well the holidays went.  With a focused look, Heather answered “No.”

So, with a head of steam, I went on to correlate the subtle energy of Amazonite – The Stone of Courage – and its impact on the Heather and her holiday experience.”

“So, Heather began to tell us about her past three weeks.

In short, nothing different had occurred at work.  Despite the information she had gleaned about the subtle energy of Amazonite, she still was not willing to come out of her office.  So, as she said, “there it was – nothing ventured, noting gained”.

I decided to leave the work area, and ask how her holidays had been.  With this question, she lit up like a sixty watt light bulb.  This had been the best holiday she had enjoyed for years.  All of her family had gotten together and she had gotten along with everyone (truly unusual for Heather and her family).   She went on to say that she and her long term boy friend were getting along supremely well (with a smile a mile wide) and that all was well in life!

And then I knew how the Amazonite medallion had impacted her life.”
