“After hearing all of the stories, all eyes turned to me to see what was going on – why had I gifted these friends with the pendants and asked them to meet at the tea shop in two weeks.  I thought it only fair to share with them what had been occurring – or not occurring.

As I began to speak about the subtle energies of the different stones – connecting each of their stories to the stones they were wearing – there was amazement and delight.  Anne, with her pendant of Zoisite – the Stone of Progress – who was finally being recognized for her contributions through a job promotion.; Linda, with her pendant of Sunstone – the Stone of Joy – supporting her as she dealt with extreme turbulence at work; and Brenda with her pendant of Lapis Lazuli – the Stone of Peace – who had stayed out of the “family fray” as her family continued to have its ups and downs.  Each of these three friends was truly amazed at the possible implications of the subtle energies of the stones in their lives.  Each was quick to share that they really felt good wearing their pendants. 

As we talked further, I noticed all three unconsciously touching or holding their pendants as if they were powerful talisman for them in their lives.”

“Pamela, the best story teller amongst us, began by first sharing that she was most impressed with herself these past weeks.  She had actually started and finished a project she had wanted to do for more than a year.  This, to her, was quite an accomplishment – and we were all impressed.  And with that as the beginning statement, the story began to unfold. 

It seems a friend of hers had come into town and that the friend, whom she had known for quite a few years, was most determined to support Pamela in experiencing the feeling of accomplishing something for herself.  (Pamela has mostly floated along allowing her friends and co-workers to complete nearly everything she has ever started.)

It seems this friend developed a plan and then held Pamela accountable to making it happen, checking in with her every day.  In that manner, Pamela did complete the project.

So, did the Amber pendant have any impact?  Did it somehow allow Pamela to work with her friend in a different manner?  Did it assist her in stimulating her intellect – encouraging trust and wisdom and in that way support her in completing the project?  Or Not?

With these thoughts on my mind, I shared the experiment with my friends.”
 

“Pamela is the one of us who is most likely to simply let life take her where it will – she seems to have no direction in life and no real desire to have one.  We have often spoken amongst ourselves with concern that Pamela seems to have so little direction and focus in life.

It is for this reason that I selected Amber, the Stone of Connection for Pamela.  I wondered if its subtle energies, which link our desire to the drive to achieve that desire would shift Pamela in any way.  With it subtle energies also stimulating the intellect and encouraging trust and wisdom, I thought it a perfect stone for Pamela and her life challenges.

After the report from Judy I had no idea what Pamela might have to share with us. So I settled back with my cup of tea and waited to see what would unfold.”

“So I asked Judy a few more questions – trying to understand if she had only told us the really unlucky things that had occurred or if simply her natural “bad luck” was too much for her Jade stone pendant. 

As Judy continued to tell us about the events in her life during the last two weeks, it became really apparent that the Jade pendant with its beautiful subtle energy had, in fact, created no change in her life. 

I wondered if Jade has a more gentle subtle energy – were Judy’s energy patterns simply too strong – is there a difference in the impact the stones can have when we are more open an less concerned with life?  These and many more questions entered my mind. And we needed to move on to Pamela with her Amber necklace.”

“Next to tell of their past two weeks was Judy.  I knew I had gifted Judy with Jade, the Stone of Good Luck.  I selected this stone for Judy as she seemed to always have the worst luck of all of us.  And so she began to tell us about her past two weeks.  She, and the others, had begun to see a pattern emerge of greater confidence and opportunity, so we were surprised to hear about her past weeks.

To start off with Judy had been in an auto accident.  And it went from that point to having the driving who hit her not have any insurance in force at the time of the accident.  From there, she told us that after speaking to her insurance agent, the deductable she thought she would have to pay was going to be higher due to how her policy was written in regards to uninsured motorists.  And finally, when she went to her dentist for a regular checkup she had found out that she needed a root canal….and no medical insurance.

So, the long and the short of it, Judy’s life had gone on as normal.  How, if at all, had the subtle energy of the Jade assisted her?  I began to think more about Jade and how it actually increased our good luck.  Jade assists us in attracting good luck and friendship; encourages harmony; dispels harm; promotes love and nurturing; and encourages wisdom through tranquility. 

Hmmmm…..what impact, if any, might Jade have had on the events in Judy’s life?”

“I did not have time to ponder my questions much further as Linda began to give us an update on her life.  It seems Linda had just completed a rather turbulent two weeks.  The work situation she is currently in is far from smooth and it had become even more rough.  As she talked I asked her several questions that would help me understand if the Sunstone she was wearing had helped at all.

Sunstone, the Stone of Joy, assists the wearer in nurturing one’s self, promoting feelings of self-worth and confidence, allowing the real self to shine through.  Had Sunstone assisted Linda  during this turbulent week?  Or, was the assistance, since it is on such a subtle energy basis, lost in the turbulence?

With these questions in mind, I asked Linda to compare and contrast this turbulent period with other she had experienced at her office.  She told me that if anything, the two weeks had been more turbulent than ever before – that several people had actually walked out due to the stress and negativity.

I asked her is she had considered walking out.  The answer was Yes – this time and others.  And that for some reason she had not actually walked out even with the elevated level of turbulence. 

And so I wondered – was this the Sunstone at work?”

“As we progressed around the table, the next friend to speak was Brenda, wearing her beautiful Lapis Lazuli stone necklace.  Brenda indicated that nothing much had changed in her life.  She shared that there had been some upheavals in her family (nothing new to the group) and that she had pretty much stayed out of the family fray.  Other than that all was progressing along in her life – no changes, no discoveries, and no guitar lessons!

Hmmm – Lapis Lazuli is the Stone of Peace.  As I checked my notes, I realized that Lapis Lazuli, as the Stone of Peace, simply and subtly aids in releasing stress and is a very protective stone, assisting in active listening and understanding of situations.  Could it be that Brenda was not in the “family fray” due to the subtle energy of Lapis Lazuli?

I began to see that sometimes the stone energies and their impact may not be as obvious as my earlier experience had indicated.  Or, perhaps, Brenda was simply not as sensitive to the stone.  Could it be that some individuals are simply not as energy sensitive as others?”

“The others joined us just as Anne finished giving me her good news.  We talked, sipped tea, and nibbled on scones.  I noticed that each of the friends wore the necklace I had given them – how neat!

Diane, with her beautiful Zoisite necklace, was so excited to report what was going on in her life.  She had always wanted to learn to play the guitar – and she had actually had her first lesson – just since we had last spoken.  She told us that this had been dream of hers since she was a little girl.  She was so excited to be making a dream come true – one that she had dreamed for nearly 20 years.  And she had found it amazingly easy!

Little did she know that Zoisite is the Stone of Talents.  Its subtle energy supports the wearer by promoting positive energy and supporting the use of latent talents (as well as already developed talents). “

“Finally our meeting at the tea shop occurred.  I was ready – with pots of tea and scones and all sorts of goodies.  I could not wait to hear what happened.

Anne was the first to arrive.  As we sat and waited for the others, I asked how her life was going – if she had noted any changes of differences.  I had a feeling that Anne might be one of the most impacted due to what I knew was going on in her life.  In my selections, I had found out the subtle energies of each stone and knew that Fluorite was perfect for Anne.

As we talked, Anne began by saying there had been no change in her life – same old, same old. Yes, as we talked further, Anne began to reveal how she was finally up for that promotion she had been eyeing and that it looked good.  She indicated that she was really excited and thought she understood what had held her back in the past.

Amazing – Fluorite is the Stone of Progress and assists with our ability to move into the future, balancing and coordinating life, thus supporting us with progress on many levels. Sure enough, Fluorite had been supporting Anne in its own subtle and delightful manner.  How beautiful.

I did not want to share with Anne what had happened until we had heard all of the stories.”
 

“I selected five stones and  placed in simple necklace settings.  I then met with five of my friends, different friends than those in the first phase of this delightful experiment,  and asked them to wear their necklaces daily for the next two weeks.

Despite some odd looks and comments of “what are you up to now?”, each agreed to do as I asked.  I then set a time with the group to get together for tea as a thank you – my treat – and they all agreed.

I gifted  Anne with a beautiful Fluorite stone; Diane with an awesome Zoisite stone; Brenda with a lovely Lapis Lazuli stone; Linda with a shiny Sunstone in her necklace;  Judy with a light green Jade stone; and Pamela with an Amber stone.

And then I waited until our meeting at the tea shop.”
