The past life regression processes connects the client directly to their spirit guides and/or spirit team – depending upon how the client defines their higher guidance.  I am using the word spirit here to allow for all iterations and naming that is used in our culture. 

Spirit messages can be both direct and bold and indirect and innocuous.  They can be gentle and beautiful as well as demanding and potentially painful to hear.  I believe that spirit speaks to us each in the manner we are best able to hear.  If an individual has been continually asking the same question over and over and spirit feels like they are not listening to the answer that is being given, over and over, spirit may decide to take a different tact.  And spirit is most creative in its approach to assist us in understanding what is in our highest interests.  Spirit is always benevolent – even when it appears we are being hit over the head with a two-by-four.

It is this blending of personalized spiritual direction and the life coaching process that results in such a powerful and impactive process.  As noted in earlier posts, there are many benefits with this merged process.  So, one might ask, what are the challenges with this merged process?

The first challenge might be the name of the regression process.  I have had the opportunity to interact with some most wonderful people who have difficulty dealing with the concept of past lives.  For them, this is a hurdle they simply cannot overcome.  Whether reincarnation exists (and I do believe it does) or not, is not at issue with this process.  Whether spirit is showing us an actual past life or a lesson posed as a past life – that is ours to determine based upon our own belief systems and personal preferences.

This first potential hurdle can be most challenging.  For those of you who see the name of the regression (Past Life Regression) as a challenge, I recommend you rename it Spirit Direction Regression and enjoy all of the benefits without this particular challenge.

As I noted before, there are two types of magic that occurs when one blends life coaching and spiritual direction, personalized spiritual direction.  First, through the regression process, the client has the opportunity to experience the information from spirit first hand – not through another filter.  This fact, in itself, is what makes past life regression and regression to spirit such a powerful process.  After the session, when the client has an opportunity to listen to the session, they hear in their own voice their description of what they experienced.

By then adding the life coaching approach, this personalized information is then integrated by the client with the assistance of a life coach.  This integration transforms the information provided by spirit from something quite inspiring and incredible to actual life change based upon the individual clients interpretation of what spirit was showing them about their life and what best to change. 

This then is the one-two punch of what I have come to call Intuitive Coaching.
