“The information from both Althea and Constance was amazing and really caused me to wonder more about the subtle energies and just how subtle they really were – or not.

With these thoughts roaming freely in my head, the third of the ladies began to speak.  Her name was Ruth and I found her to be the most grounded and gentle of the group.  Ruth, with a smile to her friends, added a bit of information that I had not thought about - specifically, the impact of free will.

Ruth described free will as our right to determine how we allow an event to impact us.  She told me that although we may not be able to change what happened, what we do have in our control is how we react to or interact with the event.  That is our free will and, it is this free will that can easily override the subtle energies and subtle impact of the stone energies.

Huh – I had not thought how we each (and I was thinking here mostly of my friends) have a preferred manner in which we react to life’s events.  Was it possible that the friends who most often see the positive side of life were most positively impacted by the stone energies???  And that those friends who rarely see the positive side of life were not impacted?”

“Constance then went on to say that Obsidian – the Stone of Visualization – is a stone that is well served when it is frequently cleaned in the moonlight.  Due to its properties which create an empowering shield against negativity, tends to absorb much of the negativity it shields from the user.  And, this negativity therefore needs to be discharged from the stone.

Obsidian, due to its typically darker color, is best cleaned in the moonlight and the sunlight tends to allow it to absorb too much of the sun energy and, in doing so, adjust its own vibrational field. 

Wow – Obsidian, the Stone of Visualization, could assist me in blocking negativity from my energy field, particularly during times of change.  Further, it promotes the ability to see one’s own flaws and therefore aids us in visualizing how best to move through change.  Obsidian is truly a stone worth having and one worth taking care so it may support us in the best possible manner.

I was learning so much and becoming so aware of the power and support of the stones….little had I known.”

“Constance then went on to share how best to renew stone energies to their proper and intended vibrations.  She indicated that this is a very simple process and should be done any time new stones are purchased and when a stones has been worn on more than five occasions or when the stone was worn with purposeful intent to ward off negative influences. She went on to say that different stones, due to their vibrational qualities, absorb external influences and energies more easily.

Constance said that the best way to clear a stone of energy that is not natural to it (she called it “unnatural energy” – imagine, energy being unnatural!) was to set the stone in the sunshine and the moonshine when possible.  Some stone react better to moon shine than sun shine – and some do the reverse – and they are all cleared with either.  She indicated that the stone would tell the individual through thought forms which it preferred.

For those times when leaving the stone or stones in the sunlight or moonlight did not seem feasible, the next best approach was to hold it about three inches above a candle flame, moving it back and forth and allowing the energy from the flame to restore the stone to its natural energy.

And finally, when moon and sun and candles are not available, to simply use one’s breath to clear away the unwanted energy and re-energize the stone to its natural energy pattern.

Amazing – re-energizing the stones – bringing back their subtle energies.  I would have never guessed this was possible – much less necessary.  And I began to ponder how best to clear my stone energies and to let the others know about this so they could clear theirs.”
 

“Althea, due to her sensitivity to the subtle energies of the stone, was shocked with the energy this stone was producing….it was as if the stone had turned dark upon itself and, instead of giving wonderful energizing energy to the wearer, it was draining energy from the wearer.

Althea quickly smudged the stone and then set it to rest with some of her other quartz stones.  She then turned to the customer to have a bit of a conversation.  It seems the customer had acquired the stone from a shop going out of business several towns away.  The owner was angry and nearly through the stone at her when she asked to purchase it, saying that he would be glad to get rid of it (along with all of the other *!%*! stones. And that was all Althea needed to know…..she set the customer down and began to revive her natural energy flow as she spoke to the stone and her other quartz crystals around it, encouraging it to reverse the energy field it had taken on and become the stone it is truly meant to be.

When the customer left, she was feeling much better and her stone was imparting subtle energy in the manner it is intended – energy of connection and higher visioning. She also knew to cleanse any future stones she might purchase to ensure they are vibrating at the frequency they are intended.”

“With this information stumbling around in my head – stones with feelings? – Althea went on to tell a story about a little known stone – Iolite.

Iolite is known as the Stone of Shamanic Visioning as its subtle energies stimulate our ability to connect to our inner knowing; it aids us in expressing our true selves; and it assists us in journeying out of our physical bodies.  Iolite, as the Shamanic Visioning stone, is very powerful and creative in its assistance.

One day she was working at the stone stop and a lovely lady entered the shop looking for an Iolite necklace.  This customer had been told to wear Iolite to assist her in her meditations and inner journeys so she was stiving to find jus the right piece.  The stone shop did not have any Iolite at that time and the customer left empty handed.

About two weeks later the same customer came into the shop – looking less light and airy and wearing a very large Iolite stone on a chain around her neck.  She was clearly tired and simply “out of it”.  When Althea asked her how she was, the customer smiled and shared that she had not been feeling well lately.  Althea, with her connection to stones and those in the quartz family particularly, asked the customer if she might see her necklace. 

Althea said she nearly fell to the floor when the customer handed her the necklace.”

“Althea, a lovely blond haired lady in her early sixties, began to speak.  She told me she has an affinity for the quartz stones and as such, is very attune to them and their impacts.  Further, she told me that stones in the quartz family, due to their high energy, are very quick to pick up the energies around them.  And, that in the case specifically of the stone known as Quartz Crystal, the likelihood of that stone holding the energy that has been most prevalent in their surroundings is very normal.

The look on my face must of said something like “What are you talking about” because she smiled and went on to tell me more.

Many of the stones, the stones in the quartz family being the most significantly impacted, hold the energy from the people, environments, and/or jewelers who they have been in contact with.  To that end, if their previous environment has been hostile or negative (in the stones opinion – another “huh”?), then the stone will be carrying a slightly different frequency.  That slightly different frequency or “energy mask” as she called it, will then impact the individual wearing the stone. 

energy shops like the one I had purchased my stones.  And, to work with the jewelry designer, allowing him or her full time to complete their creation.  Their frustration or nervousness due to timing, etc. can also have an impact on the stone and its subtle energy.”

“I arrived at the energy healer’s office and was delighted to find a total of four women already in attendance for the evening’s discussion.  This was going to be a most interesting evening.
The energy healer, whom we shall call Madame X, had invited the other four as each experienced a unique alignment with different stones so each could assist me in understanding the various stones and their subtle impacts.

We started the evening with me sharing my stores of the impact of stones on myself and my friends.  In particular, I focused on Pamela and Judy as the stones seemed to have had very little impact in their lives.  All others, to one degree or another, had experienced the subtle energies and impact of the stones in their lives.

Upon hearing of my experiment and experiences, they commenced to educate me more fully on the stones, their use, and their misuse.”

“With my questions in mind and some time on my hands, I headed back to the Stone Shop to see what I could find out.  I spoke to the owner and she indicated that I might be best served talking to an energy healer she knew who worked with the stones – that she might be able to provide me some insights into what exactly had happened. 

I had a conversation with the energy healer, letting her know what had transpired and what I desired to understand in regards to the stone energies.  She indicated she would be absolutely delighted to hear more about my experiences with the stones and would do what she could to provide some insight into what had not occurred.  Further, if I would be willing to meet of an evening, she told me of several of her friends – fellow energy healers – who she thought would be most interested in my experiment and willing to provide their insights as well.

We agreed to meet the following Monday evening at her office.  I had a really good feeling about the upcoming meeting and all it would uncover.”

“As we talked I noticed Pamela and Judy looking a bit frustrated.  Each had worn their pendants every day and yet they had not seemed to have experienced the same positive impact as the others.

Pamela began to wonder if her pendant of Amber – the Stone of Connection - might have drawn her friend into her life at the perfect time to assist her in accomplishing her project.  Had the Amber been the impetus to cause her friend to be as pushing and demanding as she had been?  Did the stones impact us in other than a direct manner? 

Judy actually took her pendant off and asked if there was another stone that might be more appropriate for what she deals with on a frequent basis?  Further, she wondered if she had needed a larger, potentially more powerful stone. These were great que4stions, ones that I had wondered as we spoke – did different energy frequencies impact each of us differently?  Did larger stones create greater energy support?

With these questions in mind and our time at the tea shop coming to an end, I promised all I would go back to the stone shop and see if I could find the answers to these questions.”

“After hearing all of the stories, all eyes turned to me to see what was going on – why had I gifted these friends with the pendants and asked them to meet at the tea shop in two weeks.  I thought it only fair to share with them what had been occurring – or not occurring.

As I began to speak about the subtle energies of the different stones – connecting each of their stories to the stones they were wearing – there was amazement and delight.  Anne, with her pendant of Zoisite – the Stone of Progress – who was finally being recognized for her contributions through a job promotion.; Linda, with her pendant of Sunstone – the Stone of Joy – supporting her as she dealt with extreme turbulence at work; and Brenda with her pendant of Lapis Lazuli – the Stone of Peace – who had stayed out of the “family fray” as her family continued to have its ups and downs.  Each of these three friends was truly amazed at the possible implications of the subtle energies of the stones in their lives.  Each was quick to share that they really felt good wearing their pendants. 

As we talked further, I noticed all three unconsciously touching or holding their pendants as if they were powerful talisman for them in their lives.”
